Samia Maktouf has provided legal services to many business leaders and private individuals in France and abroad.

Samia earned a LL.M in Business Law & Economics from the University of Paris 1 – Pantheon-Sorbonne and is admitted to the Paris and Tunis bar associations. She also serves as arbitrator before the ICC International Court of Arbitration and advisor to the International Criminal Court.
She worked for a number of leading French and Anglo-American law firms before founding Maktouf Attorneys-at-Law in 2005.

Samia has defended clients in a number of sensitive high-profile cases such as the financial part of the “Karachi Affair.”

She also represents victims of terrorist attacks such as the terrorist attacks perpetuated by Mohamed Merah in 2012, the attack against the Hypercacher kosher supermarket on January 9, 2015, the terrorist attacks on November 13, 2015 in Paris and Saint-Denis, the terrorist attack on July 14, 2016 in Nice and the one on December 31, 2016 in Istanbul. She often appears in the French and foreign media in connection with such cases.
Samia has worked with dozens of international corporations to help them set up operations abroad, in particular in countries in North African and the Middle East.

Samia also advises governments and market regulators in matters related to privatization and concession agreements.

She is registered with the Paris Bar as a real estate trustee.

In 2017, Samia published a book entitled I will defend life as much as you preach death (Je défendrai la vie autant que vous prêchez la mort) [Editions Michel Lafon].

Her working languages are French, English, Arabic and Italian.
